Storyboard Ads Inside Claude with Polaris
How to storyboard an ad in Claude using Polaris MCP: plan shots in chat, generate each beat, and review the sequence in a live panel.
To storyboard an ad in Claude, connect Polaris via MCP, then plan the shot list in plain chat before generating anything, describing each beat (hook, demo, close) so Claude and Polaris can render the sequence shot by shot with tappable option cards and a live panel per shot.
Why storyboard first
Jumping straight to a single generation often produces a nice clip that doesn't fit into a full ad narrative. Storyboarding in chat first, listing out the beats you want before generating anything, gives structure to the ad and makes it much easier to keep the product, tone, and pacing consistent once you start generating each shot.
Step-by-step: storyboarding in Claude
- Connect Polaris. Add the MCP connector at polarisugc.com/api/mcp in Claude and authorize it once.
- Write out the beats in chat. Before generating anything, tell Claude the shots you envision, for example: opening hook, product demo, and closing call-to-action.
- Attach your product. Share a product photo or a script so every beat can reference the same product.
- Generate the hook shot first. Ask for that specific beat. Claude walks you through tappable option cards for model and settings, whether that's an image still or a video clip.
- Review in the live panel. Watch the shot render inline in the conversation, typically in roughly 20 to 180 seconds, and confirm it matches the storyboard beat before moving to the next one.
- Generate the remaining beats. Work through the rest of the storyboard the same way, referencing the earlier shots so continuity holds.
- Assemble and finish. Add voiceover, music, and burned-in captions where needed, then download the finished shots as a ZIP.
The web app is a secondary option if you'd rather plan visually in a dashboard, but sketching the storyboard directly in the Claude conversation, then generating shot by shot, is the primary workflow.
Pro tips
- Write the storyboard as a short numbered list in chat before generating anything; it costs nothing and saves you from generating shots that don't fit together.
- Generate the hook shot in a small batch of variants first, since it decides whether the rest of the storyboard is worth building around.
- Reuse the same product description and framing language across every beat so the sequence reads as one continuous ad, not disconnected shots.
- Run the finished ad copy through Copy Judge once the storyboard is fully generated, especially before running it in a regulated category.
Honest caveats
Every generated shot is built around your own product and script, not a stock-avatar library, so the quality of your storyboard notes and reference photo matters. A well-planned storyboard still needs real testing once it's live; planning reduces mismatched shots but doesn't guarantee performance. If your product sits in a regulated niche, keep every beat's script and on-screen text compliant, no disease, cure, or guaranteed-result claims, across the whole storyboard.
